Our Artists

Today Florence and Jean-Louis.
Tomorrow, perhaps, you.

Maison Tholance was born from the hand of three painters, Claude, Florence and Jean-Louis Tholance. We remain open to any new encounter — a fresh eye, a technique, a sensibility — that might one day join the atelier.

The artists

Florence & Jean-Louis Tholance

For more than forty years, they have painted Provence and the Côte d'Azur on canvas, in watercolour, and on porcelain. Over more than twenty-five years, they created thousands of porcelain pieces.

Florence Tholance

Painter

A watercolourist, she paints the flowers and landscapes of Provence with a luminous palette and an exceptionally delicate hand — a style now recognisable in every Maison Tholance collection.

Jean-Louis Tholance, painter

Jean-Louis Tholance

Painter

Trained by Claude from 1978, he paints the hilltop villages and way of life of the Côte d'Azur. In 2026, he was the one who suggested to his daughter Maeva the idea that would give birth to Maison Tholance.
